Magnet/Magnolia have continued to show their good taste by picking up Hobo With A Shotgun for release.

The screening of Grindhouse I went to didn't have this trailer. But the poster looks cool as hell!
I want them to do a full length feature of DON'T!!!! THANKSGIVING would be great if done right.

The buzz around this movie is pretty good. Its def. getting better buzz than Machete, which turned out kinda half baked.
Also, another poster. These posters are awesome. They almost look like old VHS covers of movies from Cannon Films or something from back in the day.

I saw this on Sunday and had an aboslute blast. It doesn't even attempt to take place in the real world or have anything even resembling good taste. Some of the scenes might put some people off in just how un-PC it is, so be warned.
As far as these Grindhouse series films go, I think this is one of the strongest (if not THE strongest- it has a little competition from Planet Terror). Its certainly better than Machete. I enjoyed Machete, but it didn't have enough Machete in it, and once it introduced all the border politics stuff, it just got muddled and lacked enough action. Here, you get exactly what you're promised: A pissed off hobo with a shotgun.
To me, the Tarantino/Rodriguez movies always felt a little too "wink wink nudge nudge" like they were trying to prove to the audience just how much they were trying to homage those films. Hobo felt a little more natural to me, like it could conceivably have been a lost Troma film from the 80s. It just felt a little more sincere.
Also, Rutger is FANTASTIC in this. Its like nobody told him the movie was essentially a comedy/b-movie homage.
Its basically Toxic Avenger meets Yojimbo. I had a great time.
