Now this one's gonna rock! I love my giant monster and big bug flicks and I love my gorefests too so to have them both together in one film...awesome!! It's like peanut butter n' chocolate! This one is the best of both worlds. It's a new gory horror film about one very big and very nasty giant bug. Not many details are known about this mysterious new giant monster flick at this time but to get an idea of what's in store for us and an exclusive first look at the film including the very first glimpse of the giant toothy creature itself check out our new article at "Undead Backbrain"[ Fair Warning: Some Images Are Rather Graphic]:

To see that first teaser poster art plus a new batch of images, plus very early concept art of what the creatures from the film were original supposed to look like before they were changed, and details check "Undead Backbrain"[NOTE: The concept art does not reflect the current/final look of the creatures in the film]:

Well based on the trailer this looks to be a rousing good time with a pretty kick ass backwoods kaiju!

I LOVE that they are using miniatures. They look great on screen.

The film just won "Best Feature Film" at this year's "Dragon Con" in Atlanta!! The film deemed too gory and hard 'R' for "G-Fest" although it will be reviewed in an upcoming issue of "G-Fan". It's started playing fests around the globe and is getting lots of rather positive reviews which all make it sound like a we've got a winner!!

"plays out like a love song to all of the horror films we all grew up watching....a dash of GODZILLA, a sprinkle of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and hell, even a bit of JURASSIC PARK mixed in"....relishes in the real effects made famous by Tom Savini, Rick Baker, and Rob Bottin and also the rubber suited monster fiascos starring Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan."
From "Aint It Cool News".

"... a seriously gory flick that answers the age-old question of what would happen if Godzilla rampaged through a Rob Zombie movie."
From "io9".

“…any monster movie fan’s breath of fresh air…I’d put it up against any studio monster movie, period! Godzilla, meet The Millennium Bug…Definitely a movie you can watch over and over again…I want a sequel!â€

WOW!! I just got back from the "FreakShow Horror Film Festival" of Orlando, Florida to where I watched the entire line-up of films screened. This was hands down the best of the batch and the competition was stiff with a lot of really great films. It was by far the best daikaiju film I've seen in years!! I'd say it was right up there with "Gehara". Absolutely a must see on the BIG screen. The suit and creature design were very unique and just plain awesome and the miniature fx were fantastic. It was impossible to believe that they pulled this off on such a microscopic budget and with all practical fx[NO CGI]. A great, fast paced creature feature that truely delivers lots of creature screen time, buckets of gore, and loads of action. Plus the inbred hillbilly parts were pretty darn humorous in a good way. I absolutely loved it and can't recommend it enough!! If possible seek it out at a fest near you for the big screen is how this one's meant to be experienced.

OK, so far each of the distribution offers haven't fit the filmmakers' desires for this awesome monster fest. I've sent several more options there way which they are currently looking into but they also are seeking funding to get the film completely finished as in to have it eligible for distro on cabel/theatrical/vod outlets. If any of you would like to help out the best man-in-suit daikaiju fest in recent years by pitching in any amount you can do that here[did I mention there's new footage of the great daikaiju in the vid??]:

The film has been picked up by Spotlight Pictures[who've also snagged 'Return Of The Killer Shrews'] and they've hooked it up with Green Apple Films to be distributed to dvd and cable television soon. I can't say much more just yet but what I can share is the BIG reveal of the giant monster and the all-new and incredibly epic official dvd trailer for the best daikaiju film in years plus the awesome official disc art[front and back] so check "Undead Backbrain" for the epicness!!!!:

Ugh, I'm having SUCH a hard time getting into this. The creature effects and miniature work look PHENOMENAL but I HATE evil redneck stories. :(
