Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

This is a wacky, hilarious looking new giant sea monster spoof short film from Scottland about a giant mutant octopus rising out of the Tay river. It was made by a filmmaker and a group of popular local radio djs and no budget and with stop-mo fx as a response to "Megashark vs. Giant Octopus" and other such films. The film's budget was made up by donations and the crew volunteering their services for free. The filmmakers fealt that the usual filmmakers behind the SyFy channel movies just don't really go for it and embrace their c...no...z movie aesthetics. The first film, "TERROR ' NEATH THE TAY!", of this fun new giant monsters spoof trilogy or rather "thrillogy" as the director refers to them is to hit DVD and with any luck will be getting it's North American premiere screening soon. That and the follow-up "JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE TAY!" has just been announced with a new giant creature to star plus the original giant octopus to return!
