At least, I think that's what you saw. A kid named Arlo befriends a frog that's really a prince. He tries to get someone to kiss the prince to turn him back into a human. There's also a sequel (Frogs!; No relation to the eco-thriller, I'm sure). I've never seen it, but this seems to be it.
