Apparently there's a remake coming that is to be directed by famed horror filmmaker David DeCoteau and is currently set for a June 17th. release date although very little has been revealed as of yet.

The original from 1976 is a great classic and featured a variety of giant creatures as did the sequel from 1989 entitled "Gnaw: Food Of The Gods:2" but both are mainly remembered for their scenes of giant rats attacking people.

I read H.G. Well's book when I was in middle school, a very impressive early science fiction book. It anticipates a lot of the standards of the genre several decades later.

Don't forget the first Bert I. Gordon "attempt" at Food of the Gods, from 1965....

FOTG was mentioned in the credits, any similarity is purely by accident, no doubt.

Ya think the new one will be in 3d?
