Apparently there's a remake coming that is to be directed by famed horror filmmaker David DeCoteau and is currently set for a June 17th. release date although very little has been revealed as of yet.

The original from 1976 is a great classic and featured a variety of giant creatures as did the sequel from 1989 entitled "Gnaw: Food Of The Gods:2" but both are mainly remembered for their scenes of giant rats attacking people.

I read H.G. Well's book when I was in middle school, a very impressive early science fiction book. It anticipates a lot of the standards of the genre several decades later.

The film has been retitled to "1313: Giant Killer Bees" to fit the director's series and is finally completed and released on VOD! Check our new article for the trailer, poster art, and details at "Undead Backbrain":
