You are correct on all Lovecraftian counts Mysterio. I think maybe Flame was just having a short attention span day.
And I guess I typed the second part of my comment in invisible ink (that this movie has a lot in common with a story by Arthur Conan Doyle called Horror of the Heights).
* Oh and there's the Shat 1974 movie "Horror at 37000 Feet" plus to a lesser degree the Gremlin episode of Twilight Zone (also starring Shatner). So no, it's not really original. But then what is these days?
For an aviatory teen killemup movie it looks pretty fun.
*I'm having fun guys, not being argumentative. And yes! Go read Horror of the Heights! And if you don't have time to read it, multitask and listen to the audio file at librivox, that's why I put the in there.
