I love all of the Evil Dead films, though my favorite depends on my mood. I think of
Evil Dead as straight horror,
Army of Darkness as straight comedy, and
Evil Dead 2 as one of the few really effective combinations of both genres. All in all it's just an extremely fun series.
To be honest I was initially a little let down by how the last two films veered into comedy territory, but over the years I've come to appreciate them a lot more. Sam Raimi's style is really an acquired taste, so I can understand how some people don't care for his work, but his best films strike what I consider to be a near-perfect tongue-in-cheek balance.
I have to disagree GKiller referring to the
Feast movies as "classics" though.

They're not quite my cup of tea. I'll admit that I've not seen 2 & 3, but the first one was just...I dunno, kind of obnoxious. Heck, as I recall one of the judges on Project Greenlight (Wes Craven, maybe?) was actually kind of mad that
Feast won funding through that show. Oh well, takes all kinds.
