Dellamorte Dellamore/Cemetery Man (1994)

Rupert Everett stars as an oddly unflappable cemetery watchman fighting off zombies in this droll send-up of 1950s drive-in horror flicks. With the dead on the rise, Francesco Dellamorte (Everett) and his half-wit sidekick (Francois Hadji-Lazaro) must be always at the ready to crack the corpses' skulls and send them back under. Featuring a pack of undead Boy Scouts and a severed-head love interest, Cemetery Man provides both chills and chuckles. Also known as Cemetery Man.

Always liked this little Gothic entwined twisted tale of the undead, how can you not, tons of great scenes and black humor! The sets have a wonderful eerie feels and look to them, just a good little tale all around! And Rupert just cracks me up and at the same time Anna Falchi makes me melt!

8-) This is on my TOP FIVE list of personal favorite movies.

It kills. Seriously. Love Dylan Dog comics as well but ...

The DEAD OF NIGHT film coming up ... Scared.

I like this movie, and in fact I have it on DVD, but I still don't think I quite understand the ending... Some artistic endeavors are strange just to be strange but I like to think that there's a deep meaning in everything like that, but the ending of this one just left me a little perplexed.

This movie was always one of my favorites, it has a lot of deeper symbolism going on, things like homages to great paintings, existentialism, etc.

There's a part in the ossuary where the two characters kiss with cloth over their heads, which recreates a surreal painting by Rene Magritte:

There's another part where he shoots the wings off of this angel statue, then the next scene has them behind him and they look like they're attached to his back, which recreates another semi-famous painting that I can't remember now.

Plus Nagi barfs on the mayor's daughter, then falls in love with her disembodied zomibe head.
