God, do they really have to keep making these? The third one was a steaming pile of horse feces. My friends and I left the theater opening weekend wondering what the hell we had just watched.
Someone vomited loudly during the "touching" Sandman apology scene at the end of the movie. It was definitely an appropriate sentiment.

You know, Spider-Man 2 came on a few nights ago and I remembered just how good it was. Maybe 4&5 could end up as well.
(More JJ in the next one!)

oh, Peter was pretty mopey ALL the time in the original Spider-man stories. girl problems, money problems (he had to pay for the chemicals to make his web fluid), worried about Aunt May, hating being Spider-man, JJJ after him. it was balanced with the humor, thankfully, so nowhere near as morose as comics are now.
but that was the whole idea, give a superhero some regular problems. unlike some rich pretty boy sitting in a cave that could afford to do what his life's dream was!
