I've loved all the Planet of the Apes movies (yes even the awful Tim Burton remake). But I am not looking forward to anything from Disney. For me, Planet of the Apes ended forever with War of the Planet of the Apes.

^ I have serious concerns about Disney's dominance of the industry, but nevertheless; I hope they make an absolutely kickass Planet of the Apes movie.

Although I loved the serious, "grounded" take on the material in the recent trilogy I hope the next version goes back to some of the more... I guess you could say, whimsical imagery and situations that made the original pop so much back in the day? You know, apes on horses firing guns, apes wearing human clothes, Ape City, ape society...

I think an adventure film where a human or group of humans or a mixed human / ape group travel the world and encounter different types of apes civilizations and maybe the mutants - I'm saying I want the new film to be fun! I think you could milk a lot of interesting imagery with having the ape civilization modeled after the Victorian era. You know, carriages and trains, guns, apes in suits, maybe primitive aircraft like zeppelins? I also want a chimpanzee villain and the main hero ape to be a gorilla to mess with that racial stratification thing of the original movies.

Disney, just hire me!
