Not that weight should be an issue, but I've never thought of Britt Reid/GH as carved from babyfat. Maybe Rogen will hit a treadmill before shooting starts.
I worked on a game demo based on one of the many rumored team ups of Jet Li and such n such. During the time we made the demo (1999 - 2000) it was Val Kilmer.
Anyone seen that ? Not bad, but not a lot of personality to it.

The Variety article [probably the source for most websites] said Chow stopped being the director because of "creative differences" -- it would be interesting to find out just what those differences were, but we hardly ever get to find out what they are.

I don't believe Seth Rogen was ever going to make a true genuine attempt at a Green Hornet movie, I could never understand what the suits at Sony were thinking when they let him have the reins.

Rogen was even asked, specifically, if his GH movie would be a comedy or not and refused to give a yes or no answer - the closest he ever came was describing where a lot of the movie's comedy/humor derived from.

Aurélien POITRIMOULT did this awesome fan film on a shoe string budget [literally a couple thousand dollars] a couple-three years ago:

It should be required viewing for anyone in Hollywood considering writing and/or directing a Green Hornet movie.

I wish Gondry would get back to working on his own Master of Space and Time and ditch this. Oh well... I guess the guy needs some money. Like Spielberg says "you do one for them, then one for you"

I also really don't buy Seth Rogen's comments on how he's such a big fanboy. If that were true he'd respect the material more and not cast himself as the lead. He's turned it into another vanity project for himself. I never liked this guy and I'm not even a fan of the Green Hornet, but his behavior about this really makes me mad. You don't just crap all over an old and beloved property because you have a huge ego. I think its obvious now that Stephen Chow left the production probably because he is a real fan and didn't agree with Rogen's "Superbad" approach to the material. When he was on board, this thing had a chance and as wonderful a director as Gondry is, he won't be able to save it. If the movie turns out good, I'll gladly eat my words, but I'm not holding my breath.
