I thought Ben Affleck was great as Murdock/Daredevil, but the film overall was very blah. I'd be all for a properly done reboot.

Fawcett Comics created Captain Marvel in 1939, about a year after Superman appeared. lots of companies wanted to their own Superman clone, and CM was the best of the lot. so good, that he outsold Superman (at it's height of popularity, the book sold 10,000,000 copies, eat that, Spawn)! which of course, was the worst thing they could do to DC. so DC sued, eventually "won" and now can't produce a comic with the name "Captain Marvel".
there was also a strange android Captain Marvel produced in '66, who could separate his body parts- "split!". he fought villains with names like "Dr. Fate" and "Dr. Doom". go figure why he didn't last.
Cap is also the star of one of the best serials produced.
