^ OK, so admittedly I've read very few original X-Men comics, but from my knowledge of the animated series, I know Exactly where that is from.....(I think...

Dark Phoenix. The story the animated series took the time to develop correctly (by doing the Phoenix saga first, not just going stright to dark), and one that the movie franchise is about to ruin for the SECOND time.... I really don't have a problem with the casting of most of the Fox/Marvel X-Men films, its just that after they made all the effort fix things in DoFP, they mucked it up again, irreversibly this time. I'm sure whatever Disney has planned in the coming years will be satisfactory, unfortunately by then the rest of their contemporaries in the MCU will be dead or retired, and the X-Men going toe-to-toe with newer/younger Avengers I don't care about is pretty sad.

Wow...Just wow....I always enjoyed the animated series, but I have a whole new appreciation for it now, as at times it seemingly did pull straight from the pages of the comic. Amazing!
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I was speaking specifically to the end of DofP. Which fixed all the problems caused by X3. All previously dead characters were back, and the timeline had been restored. If Apocalypse had been set in "current" times instead if the 80s it could have kept the timeline moving forward. Instead now you have an alternate time line where everything is messed up again. Make no mistake. Dark Phoenix will be a dumpster fire, and good riddance.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.
