Ben Chapman, the Gill Man himself (who also caused a stir here a few months back due to his very true comments from an interview about remakes being pointless) died this morning in Hawaii at the age of 82. This guy WAS the Creature.

His ashes will be scattered in Park Lake (the "Black Lagoon" itself) at Universal.

For the record the Gillman suit was one of the coolest looking monster suits ever. Still looks creepy 60 years later.
