Who here thinks that Hollywood has been overrun by "zombies"

Okay dumb I know but still with all of these remakes and the general incompetence of Hollywood.

Welll......Conan had been announced a looooooooooong time ago, back in 99, when Ah-nold was still in the running to reprise his role, and when it was considered a sequel to the 80s classic.

Word now is, as of 2004, Paul Lavesque/ Triple H(WWE wrestler/Actor) is the frontman, and it's a retelling.

They better never re-make A Christmas Story....

Even if they do, I will never ever, ever watch it.

I have the DVD, it get's played for a party no sooner than 2 weeks prior to Christmas.

Then at 8pm on Christmas eve, the TV goes on to TNT or TBS, whoever runs it that year and it stays there for 24 hours.

That reminds me, I need to put my leg lamp in it's wooden storage crate before the wife get's mad...:D

I heard about this; it's been in devolopement hell for for years and started out as a 3rd Conan movie for Arnold. An "Old Conan" type deal. Now it's supposed to be a more faithful adaptation of the original stories, which should make fans happy since the original movies deviated so much from the source material.

So it is not a remake. It's just another adaptation.

To avoid having a million angry threads about "[blank] Remake" being made...

I just saw they are remaking Rosemary's Baby and Suspiria.

Seriously, WTF.

I think it's a safe bet that they'll crank out a remake of Batman Begins to cash in on The Dark Knight's hype.

Seriously though, in lieu of the writer's strike, I'm surprised no studio came up with the idea of remaking old TV series, episode-for-episode, with modern actors and glitzy production values. Not that I'm suggesting it, mind you.

I now dub this topic the official remake topic.

In case you aren't aware Attack of the Killer Tomatoes as well as a Piranha remake have been annouced the Piranha one might be interesting because it's in 3D. :?

Again, the new Conan is another adaptation of the literary character, not a remake. A whole lot of fans of the original stories don't like the 80's movies because they strayed far from original story.

The Tingler is getting remade as well as The Thing WTF.

The Thing should have a sequel not a remake and I don't count that video game as a sequel.
