Script review is up, and it sounds awesome! :D

I like the new twists on the story, and this should really throw down the giant "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" robot gauntlet. Bay & co. will have their hands full trying to top it with Transformers 2.

Let's all hope....I have always been a bigger fan of Voltron than TF, and that's saying alot since I loved Transformers as a kid.

Never a big fan of Masters of the Universe or He-Man, same with GI Joe, or Thundercats, those were usually the bookends of TF or Voltron...after school....

I also fear the fanboys that love to pick everything apart, complain about re-imagining storys and such will fill this forum with so much negativity it will become unreadable....

The Vehicle Force series is supposed to get released after the Lion Force series - as well as GoLion and Dairugger XV [the two Toei cartoon shows used to create the each Voltron series].

Oh - the specially made Voltron mini-movie where LF and VF Voltron's teamed up [Fleet of Doom] is now available for purchase from www.voltron.com [the official site]

That's a cringe-inducing thought. You could be right, but let's hope the folks at World Events can keep things on the focused path and maintain a more grown-up approach. That doesn't mean it can't be fun and have some light moments, but I see what you're saying about dumbing it down, like 4kids did with the adaption of UM Tiga. Considering that most Voltron fans are in their 30's and 40's you would THINK the creative powers would keep it straight... unfortunately Hollywood bonehead types always seem to insist on putting their clueless fingers into the pie and ruin it for the intended audience.

Still.. we could get lucky.

man, that script review writer can't go two sentences without using the work ""OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!"" can he?

script sounds awful. making the characters "dark and edgy" will certainly eliminate a large portion of the potential fanbase, and all the changes will make casual fans wonder what happened to their beloved characters.

and yes, it is the people in the cartoon fans cared about, not just the cool robots.

Justin Marks wrote the Voltron script.

He has also recently finished a script for Masters of the Universe. Sadly predictable, it is a "dark" script, one review compared it to the so-so quality of the Eragon movie. Stand out disappointments include Skeletor being a decomposing whiner with one foot in the grave and Prince Adam/He-Man (there is no real transformation) begins the movie on the run after Skeletor has killed King Randor and taken over Eternia. Leading us to the oh so obvious, must get revenge plot.

Some people seem to like what Marks has written for the MOTU script, but it doesn't "feel" much like MOTU to me. The script needs a major overhaul in my opinion, if not an outright fresh start.

Justin Marks is also writing a script for a new Street Fighter movie [not sure which studio it's for] and he is writing the Green Arrow "SuperMax" script for WB.

Whether the movie ever gets made or not...I'm down for some fun Voltron video games! Does anyone here have the Toynami Voltron resculpt figures?
I've been considering the $60 plastic version (the metal version is just way too expensive).
