Well, it's not so much that it bothers me (if one wants to call it that, so be it), I just want to know exactly why would someone refer to that, be it Godzilla movies, King Kong, Harryhausen, even the German silent features, which I brought up, because even there, I've heard the C word came into play (those weird twisted looking set pieces seen in "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" for instance).
