Me and Trev were just talking about how we couldn't believe that SO MANY people were SO into Trek but Prometheus and TDKR had so many people picking them apart last year... IMO, Trek is by far the dumbest movie of those three.

And after seeing both, I'll stick with Trek into Darkness-- although I seem to enjoy that movie more than most here.

Man of Steel wasn't awful and I'm not sure I agree with all these weak reviews, but it's certainly not my favorite of the blockbusters released this year so far. Unlike Iron Man 3 and Star Trek I felt a very distinct emotional disconnect with some key characters. This led to specific beats falling flat.

That said, I think this movie makes up for the lack of slam dunk action that the previous Superman films have been picked apart for. This thing makes the city squashing in Transformers 3 and The Avengers look like a pee-wee baseball warm up.
