I don't hate Nolan's style outright - I really liked how it worked for Inception (which I did enjoy - SUCK IT, KG! :lol: ) but I don't think it suits Batman. Not for me, anyway. :/

I just want to clarify that I don't personally find Nolan's style visually uninteresting, I merely find the TDK/TDKR Gotham really bland and visually uninteresting. In any other movie I'd be fine but this is Batman! I just want a less-generic Gotham - Nolan can keep his cinematography style and my jimmies will remain unrustled.

And - believe it or not - I totally agree that a Batman film ought to be darker and grittier than other movies. Trouble is, a darker, grittier Batman film that entertains me as much as Batman & Robin has yet to be released! Begins is close but its climax still bugs me. :lol:
