Flight of the Navigator is one of those movies that's a product of its time. Remaking it is just such a stupid idea.

The only thing that makes a movie like Flight of the Navigator work is the time period during which it was made. It's such a charming, fun, sincere film. Remaking it with modern effects defeats the purpose.
