Here is a short film about Eddie Brock from the guys that did Punisher: Laundry Day It's shot like a french documentary (kind of like Man Bites Dog) covering Eddie Brock. Definitely on the low budget side, but Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) does a great job with the character

Paul Giamatti confirmed there will be multiple villians in this but they'll be background characters in a recent interview.

So with this news its safe to say they're setting up for the Sinister Six or a variation of it.

I don't really call that adding a villian. Do you count Dillon Baker in both SM2 and SM3 as a villian?

I want several sequences in which Spider-Man dresses as different professions in an attempt to confuse or escape the villains.

I like it! Maybe he could pretend to be a mannequin in a store selling Spiderman merchandise in that same sequence.

my desire to see Spider-Man characters other than Spider-Man in standalone films does not exist.

I like Venom, but only in the context of Spider-Man. He's gotten a lot of unfair backlash in recent years, but we ALL absolutely LOVED Venom when he was first introduced, and while the mirror-image villain thing is a bit played, the notion that Venom can subvert a lot of Spidey's powers and exploit his weaknesses is fun.
