Zack Snyder said he considers Robin to be dead in this universe because it's a "fun" backstory.
He also said he killed Jimmy Olsen as a "fun" Easter egg and killed Superman at the end because it was a "fun" way to clear the way for Batman to be the one who brings JL together.

He's also said JL will be more "fun"....is that fun like, real people fun, or fun like Zack Snyder murderfun?

I hear Zack Snyder once funned a guy with a crowbar in the parking lot of an Applebee's.

You didn't hear it from me.

And Guillermo del Toro has adopted the Margot Robbie/Jared Leto rat from Suicide Squad!

It's all coming together!

I am not for kicking a movie when it's down and on a second viewing I liked it more. It's not perfect of course but the social media and word of mouth is being fed to the general consciousness of our population. The whole thing is not cool.

i dont think we need to feel bad for it... its already the 84th biggest worldwide box office, beating out MoS, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Hunger Games 3.5, SW Ep2, Interstellar, etc etc.

This film isn't and has never been an underdog. People just thought it was going to break a billion dollars, which it probably wont do, but it has already pulled in $680 million despite being a critical flop and having generally lackluster word of mouth. That just goes to show what power these franchises have.

Gadot's "...but it's pretty dark." comment is concerning. I've not seen BvS yet, but from my nephew's comments it seems that they (the director, the suits, etc.) wanted to cram in 2 or 3 stories instead of just telling one story.

I hope the suits making all the decisions for the DC movies finally see that "dark 'n' gritty" is not the end all be all of superhero movies (plenty of people have been suitably vocal on this issue for years now). Yes, "dark" does work for certain stories, but there is no need to make every story for every character "dark 'n' gritty". Even the visual palette WB has determined for their DC movies is dreary, and people have taken issue with it starting with Man of Steel.

C'mon WB decision makers, the people behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe are doing a lot things great and you aren't; take a good look at the things the MCU is doing well in adapting their characters to film and do those things too.

Relevant video -- Captain Marvel's speech to the Justice League at the end of "Clash" where he tells off the JL for not acting like heroes. Perhaps this is doubly relevant considering the issues people have taken with the current presentation of Superman and the potential direction WB is apparently wanting to take the DCCU.

If that doesn't get you pumped for the inevitable dark and gritty Shazam flick, I don't know what will
