Sigh...I guess Banegate has kind of gone mainstream...

Conan made fun of it on his show...

I don't get why people can't understand the trailer. The prologue, yeah...I can get that but I think Bane's perfectly clear during the trailer, and I actually like his voice in it.

That's a great topic for discussion actually!!!

I LOVE the idea of setting this film during winter. I always liked Batman Return's Christmas time setting, and it's something that a lot of super-hero films/ comics don't deal with. How do super heroes operate during the winter??

Take Spidey for example, how much would it suck, or even be worth it, to web sling around downtown N.Y City in pajamas during the winter?

Batman, it's pretty feasable that his armor has some sort of mild temperature control system but it's still interesting nonetheless.

I always liked the idea of setting a Superman film around Christmas, he's a symbol of hope and it's fitting that one of his movies would take place when "peace of Earth" is the standard motto.

Bale could...and probably will...kill us all. That look on his face just confirms that for me

An idea for discussion:

Favorite Batsuit, Bruce Wayne and Batman?

Batsuit: I'm partial to the Batman Returns costume myself. Sure, it's a little cheesy, and leather looking these days but its still my favorite even if it isn't super realistic. My ideal costume would be a mix of this and Nolan's I think.

Bruce Wayne: Depends on my mood. I like Bale's...you can see that his Wayne is just a persona, it's an act, and a bad one at times. The real Wayne, when he's at home, is a very interesting character and I'm excited that the new film is apparently going to examine the real Bruce Wayne ala Batman Begins.

BUT, I really like Keaton's Wayne also. I know, that's crazy talk, but he's a good mix of Burton's patteneded blend of dark and humorous. He's probably the warmest of the Waynes, yet I buy that he's consumed with this quest of vengeance, and that he's insanely brilliant as well.

Batman: I think the animated series had the best Batman. He spoke with an authoritative voice, was menacing, but just human enough that you could feel for him.

And a very close second, would be Bale's Batman. Totally different take on Batman, but each different take on The Dark Knight works for its respective universe.

Bale's has the best intimidation voice out of the three by far. "Swear to me!!!!" is iconic, but so is the over-exagerated, barely comprehensible gibberish he spoke in TDK. Bale's Batman is the scariest by far, and that's saying something because Keaton's Batman kills people lol.

BUT, in much the same way that Craig's Bond is one bad mofo, yet I still think Brosnan was cooler; I think that Keaton's Batman had a little more going for him in the cool dept.

Anyways, those are my thoughts, what are your takes?

One thing I really like about Bale/Nolan's Batman is the notion that his parents weren't just very wealthy people, they were philanthropists as well. It makes it seem like one of the ways Batman/Bruce is honoring his parents legacy is by taking up the mantle of Batman. His father did a lot to try to save Gotham, and now, he is as well.
