Damn BBC budget cuts!

No full series of DW next year.

Sooooo.... a half series? Specials like 2009? I'm hoping for half series. I loved the series of episodes we got so far this year and I think they could do a respectable mini-season with just that amount.

Picked up The Dominators today because I desperately need more Patrick Troughton in my life. XD

Planning on finishing Tomb of the Cybermen tonight and after I do I'll post my thoughts on it and Pyramids of Mars as well.

Apparently the move might not be for budget reasons, as there's a lot of chatter that they've been meaning to move DW to the fall and winter months.

All speculation, of course.

At least we know they are planning something cool for the 60th anniversary.

Okay, so I returned The Dominators today because I read it wasn't all that great and also because I was able to use the same money to go on Amazon and order The Mind Robber and The Green Death, as well as Muppet Treasure Island all for under $20 combined after using a $10 credit I had there. Is that a deal or is that a deal? :D

Really looking forward to The Mind Robbers!

So I guess Torchwood starts tonight or something. I'll definitely be on the lookout from my favorite Who provider. :D

Also, I picked up 6 DVDs today at B&N since they have a Buy2 Get a 3rd Free offer going. I picked up The Brain of Morbius, The Seeds of Doom, The Masque of Mandragora, The Hand of Fear, The Deadly Assassin, and The Invisible Enemy. My Tom Baker collection is increasing, however, it still has gaps in what I do have. I'm missing episodes 81, 83, 89-90, and 92. Once I get those, I'll have 75-93.

Question though, it looks like Talons of Wang Cheng is coming out again, why? Is there any reason I should bother buying it since I already own it?

I hated the idea at first, but now I'm really on-board for splitting the seasons like this. :) Bring on some more Who!

I thought the mid-season opener was good too... and I enjoyed that little nod to the previous two Doctors (though it was really more like a nod to Tennant). The only thing I'm starting to get tired of with Moffat is the constant loopholes he jumps through, especially with killing off characters nearly every episode it seems and bringing them back to life somehow. It's getting old.

Another thing that irriatates me is that when BBC does a Doctor Who special they also ignore the Tennant and Eccelston years.

Interesting to see dual homages in this episode, the Mel plot is right out of Terminator and the control room of the robot is the classic Star Trek bridge layout.
