Millar USED to be good. He's been kinda sh*tty for a while now.

As far as him heading the Fox Marvel properties, I'll repeat here what I said in the X-Men thread. I don't get it. First off, his Ultimate Fantastic Four and X-Men stuff is awful (ironically the two franchises he will be guiding), but also, what the hell qualifies him to run Hollywood movies? Joss Whedon is a Hollywood guy... he's in TV/Film. Millar is just a comic book writer.

The most interesting thing about this is that it does seem like Fox want to bridge their properties into a shared universe like Marvel Studios does.

And I don't get what was wrong with Bryan Singer guiding the X-Men films. They should have just given this job to him anyway.

Yeah, judging by the way Fox has handled all the rest of their superhero properties, I'm not really feeling that statement. Not saying I'm not a little excited about this, but I don't see it being anything hugely spectacular.

[quote="Philip Sticco"]
Chronicle director Josh Trank is prepping to reboot The Fantastic Four, and pre-production has started in Vancouver.

Here’s the tweet from @lemon_buzz:

Apparently the black guy from Chronicle is in the running for Johnny.

http://bit.ly/16sZDTn

Its a pet peeve of mine when they make white characters black in movies (and that's not a racist thing... quite the opposite since I'm half black... I just feel like more often than not they do it to try and "diversify" the cast to try and lure minorities into the theater, which, as a biracial fella, feels condescending). But that's a personal hang up. In this case though, I feel like it might have more to do with them wanting to differentiate the reboot from the original series.

Aside from that, I could actually see this guy pulling it off.

Mouth, you and I always disagree about this. I say the more minority characters the better. Johnny Storm's whiteness has nothing to do with the character. In this day and age, a mixed family FF, is a sign of the times and a great way for Marvel to stay current.

Ben Grim will probably be gay now :lol:
Wouldn't really bother me lol, but that will probably be the next thing they start changing after race.

The new Fantastic Four could be like an episode of Modern Family but with crazy super science.
FTW
