The woman ramped up the crazy factor for me in a big way. Everything that happened in her little camp was heart-pounding.

Particularly this little fact that just popped into my head:

Two episodes in and this season is better than I thought it would be. I'm really glad too, because I though I'd be totally let down by The Walking Dead after how awesome Breaking Bad was.

There's a lot going on right now, between the rats in the fences, and who burned the bodies, and the search for the Governor, and the illness. Diggin it.

^Yeah, that does make a ton of sense. I'm sure we will find out soon enough. Something sinister is afoot here...

I'm calling it:
Daryl's gonna get sick.

And NOT die.

Everyone will think it's whatever this flu is, but it'll just be a normal cold or something.

So, I really hope for once, we can get a Walking Dead show that maintains a behind-the-camera staff for a while. I was reading through this thread again, and realized that a lot of the main questions or issues or whatnot I had with the show were just glossed over or completely swept under the rug whenever a new showrunner took over.

I'm still waiting for someone from Woodbury to ask Rick why they brought everyone to the prison instead of staying at Woodbury. That place had ELECTRICITY. The prison has tubs of water filled with rain.

I thought this most recent episode was pretty bland. They tried to give a reason why Rick's group is better off having stayed at the prison by showing the Gov destroying Woodbury, but all that does is make them all look even DUMBER. Had the fifty of them stayed in Woodbury, they would have caught the Gov and finished it. One man isn't going to win in a fight with a whole town.

And the whole episode followed the oft-joked-about structure of "every" WD episode: Great introduction, Nothing Happens, Someone does something stupid, ZOMBIES!, What's happening now and why am I even watching?, Oh, some sort of cliffhanger, so I'm gonna watch next week.

I mean, how the hell did that family survive as long as they did without figuring out that you need to shoot them in the head? Definitely the weakest outing for the show in some time.

I hate that I called this two-episode arc in such an absolute dead-on manner:
Two episodes that could easily have just been one instead.

Neither of these two Governor-centric episodes was particularly BAD, but just WAY too drawn-out, especially that first one.

And now we're gonna get a mid-season crazy thing, and then wait until February for unfulfilling answers.

I really dug the two part Governor flashback, especially as a character piece.

I think this season has been the most consistently good season since season 1. If the second half is as strong, it could even topple that.

I think this season has been the strongest since Darabont was removed.

I did find the destroyed camp and zombie roadblock intriguing, i wonder if they are setting up the "next" arc.

Mid season finale was probably the best episode since the pilot.

F*cking magnificent.

I like that Rick seems to be back. Though, I've felt he has been "back" for a few weeks now, so I'm really hoping they just maintain his presence as a leader and don't flip-flop on that again. At this point, we all know he's the leader, and I'm a bit tired of the teases to the contrary, let's start a new storyline.
