BTW, apparently there is a website at the end credits that leads to more viral madness with a video, and it also includes a date (10.11.12)... BD/DVD release date maybe? Who knows. Anyway, you can read more about all that here:

Pretty good explanation of alien life cycle in Prometheus...

Basically, the proto alien might not be a proto alien after all...but instead an evolved alien...hurm....i like it....The SJs based a lot of their tech on the original xenomorph (the black goo and such) but they didn't neccesarily create the xenos. They just tried to use them as weapons.

He states the Prometheus is a "future" mission.

"So then a bunch of Other Sj come across this derelict, as they perfectly understand the warning and perhaps go to find out WTF happened. They then kill the queen which Layed all the eggs so this explains that they have encountered the Xenomorph and as such explains why it's explicitly depicted in the Mural in the future during the Prometheus mission."

It would be a future mission. As it would have happened prior to those bases being set up and being discovered in Prometheus. I don't see the problem.

I just got back from watching Prometheus and well two words comes to my mind. Motherfrakking damm (shudders). Very impressed.
