To Mouths point as much as Donners Supes ruled Im not attached to staying in that era. However it still has to be superman, and while Nolans Bats ruled-g" it was appropo for Batman. The "neuroticizing" and making EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING "dark" edgy is a movie psychosis these days. Actually think about how many times we hear that-everything from the new Spidey to Snow White emo to Alice in Wonderland. Its now pathetically unoriginal. So to make a character angst ridden WHO WASNT is as bad as Schumacher intentionally lightening Batman up in Batman and RObin

Yeah I groaned when they said they were looking to start "dark 'n' gritty"-ing up their other properties under the assumption that that's what everyone wants. It works for Batman because that's true to the character, not *just because* it's dark and gritty. But Superman is pretty much the polar opposite of that. He isn't a dark and gritty character.

Luckily though it doesn't look like that's really the approach they're taking, at least not in a "Superman's going to be dressed all in black and going around punching people's heads off because DARKNESS AND GRIT" kind of way.

Also MekaGojira3k, check yer pm's again quick! :)
