I'm going to hold off on picking up the home video release for a bit, yeah it's a fun movie and all but I'm really burnt out on it because of how much exposure the fan base is giving it.I didn't think it was that special but if you enjoyed it good for you.

Well my statement still stands nobody I've seen thought PR was going to be the next Godzilla.

Yes Cloverfield had quite the cult following after it's release and that died off very quickly well it died off with in a few years which I count as quickly.

I would expect PR will be forgotten once Godzilla hits next year.

Yeah, but according to some fans optimism is an evil emotion, and those who practice it are labeled as retarded.

I got the Wal Mart version... it has an exclusive featurette called "The history of Jaegers" or something along those lines. Its a half hour feature with del Toro talking about the Jaegers, their purpose, their designs, etc.

Any word on the Target exclusive yet?

I have not, but since I'm laid up recovering for surgery I decided to see what's new today on "On Demand" and lookie, lookie, we have Pacific Rim ready for rental right now.

Time to "Go Big or Go Extinct"

Now the question is, 60" Sharp in the big room or 46" Samsung in the small room....Hmm, small room is darker so I think that's the winner.

Watching PPV now.

I have to say, it's much easier to follow the action on my 46" TV than the big screen because of how it was shot. I think I'm actually liking it more in this format. The fight scenes are actually easier to follow because you're not having to track as much screen. When the shots are close ups, you can't follow it as easy on the big screen and even though I sat at the theater where my whole field of vision was consumed by the screen, and it was much easier to watch than Bayformers was, I plan to sit a little further back for Godzilla.

I guess though if you watch an old Godzilla movie on the big screen, how they shot from a distance made it easier to track the battles.

Back to the movie.
