In a slightly related note, I just watched the documentary "
Ghostheads" on Netflix. It wasn't bad...didn't focus too much on the new film, had some *interesting* fan interviews and experiences. Of all the fan groups I've seen, these seem to be the most level headed, though a couple that were featured were a bit out there, especially this one who talked about his grandfather etc.... that guy really needs to go to the dentist, I'd be embarrassed if I looked like that on screen.
So in the realm of Fan documentaries (Trekkies, Trekkies II, the Brony one, and Ghostheads). I'd say the first Trekkies was the most hilarious, the Brony one the most cringe worthy, and Ghostheads was just middle of the road. I'm surprised how much effort some fans went into seeing Ernie Hudson. I just happened to bump into him at a local show about 3 1/2 years ago (He was voicing a character in Transformers at the time) , but the GB fans were out in full force. I was actually with my kids in line to get Steve Blum's autograph, when Ernie Hudson just appeared from a side door, walked down a hallway full of fans and kindly greeted everyone. I didn't even see him until he placed his arm on my shoulder as he walked by and said "good to see you". I felt bad not being there to get his autograph, but we quickly got in his line after we were done with Steve Blum
.
Now all I can say is where's the Transformers fan documentary
. I'd be so bold to say they probably have the 3rd biggest fan base behind Star Wars & Star Trek.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.
