like to add I also liked the monks angle. As well as the Alien design. Gigers actual design would have been very interesting.

The Alien dog was an interesting, as was the whole monk/religious angle. They could have easily of just said they were prisoners, but they went the extra mile with it which is nice. Based on whats been said around here it seems like many people working on the film wanted it to be better.

In any case there's no denying the impact the film has had: Fury 161 has been an environment used in some of the games. I believe all of AVP (PC) takes place on and around the planet for starters.

I'm all for another swing at an Alien vs. Predator movie if they can do it right. AVP was a studio-contrived gimmick and AVP:R was a fanboy-powered dud. The latter really didn't yield too much of a profit, so I doubt another Alien/Predator crossover would be done in that vein. Maybe Fox are recognizing the mistakes that they made with the past two films and are thinking that they need to get some actual talent with a solid script to revitalize these franchises. Could the third time be the charm?

Ah, who am I kidding? This is gonna blow too.
