Tonight's epsidoe really sent chills down my spine.

First the sight of the devastated basestar was shocking enough and to see all of those dead Cylons and Baltar freaking out to choke one of them (ironically enough a Number Six). Also, I think we may have gotten some details on Baltar's insanity.

As for the Galactica, can we say that it has descended to the lower pits of hell, especially when Adama confronts who he thought were his friends. He pretty much disowns Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and his former close friendship with Saul Tigh is pretty much destroyed.

After seeing that, I'm thinking about taking Edward James Olmos's advice and get off because I don't know if I can handle any more of this.

Hmm, I didn't like this last episode. Felt like just a filler with no real point in the overall arc. Plus ...

SPOILER ALERT

...

...

...

SPOILER follows -- you've been warned.

To try to make the Cylon attack a result of some direct action of Adama's is just way out of left field, and the idea that the Admiralty was trying to provoke a war with an enemy they hadn't encountered in 40 years would make them stupid beyond belief.

I'm not too impressed by the trailer for next week's ep either.

END SPOILER

...

There's a SPOILER above. Don't look if you haven't seen episode 3.8 "Hero".

Wow, I could not possibly disagree more. I thought this episode was brilliant. Not at all what I expected, and answered what I felt were some outstanding questions about a number of things.

After reading a truly huge amount of hype on one of the science fiction modeling forums (the good one), I poked around and found alternatives to paying for cable.
The new BSG is good, sometimes quite good, but is not unique or even consistently wonderful. I like it more than the old version, but the Unsteadicam shots and unoriginal effort to "dress up" current events are quite disappointing. There have been some excellent scenes, though, and with effort and restraint the series has continued high potential.
Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"

I've been provoked into physical fights with aggressive girlfriends in public that ended in hugs.
Some females are very passionate. And aggression is a form of passion for some people.
It's not as far fetched as it might seem.

This was a rare true to life EP for me. And probably many others.

Definitely a lot better than some of the previous few episodes.

1. Pretty interesting how the meeting went between the Cylons and Humans and liked it much when Cavil said that they would throw in Baltar and both Tigh and Adama were open to the idea. Also very creepy when the two Sharons come face to face.

2. Didn't want anymore stuff dealing with Kara and Lee.

3. Loved the moment where Tyrol was talking about his childhood days. So funny.

4. The truth comes out about Hera. I was willing to bet that perhaps Athena would have said quietly and very angrily about wanting to shoot someone to Adama's face (preferably him or the president) for what happened to her child.

5. Now we get to see how Galactica actually uses its nukes. Personally, if he wanted to, Adama could have used them against the basetars since from the distance, it seems that the basestars would not have much time to put up a defense before the nukes hit. But that is just me. Oh and very good ending to the episode.

And now, we have to wait again to see what happens. Fortunately this time, it will be only a month.

Interesting episode tonight although something in me is telling that this could have been better.

Well although it may have been a good idea to save the nukes for another time, I really wanted Adama to let fly with the nukes.

Guess I shouldn't have been surprised about how Athena decided to go and get her child back. Also, although it is a little muted, Helo finally and perhaps rightly lets loose on Roslin for what she had done.

More than likely, this will be the last time Lucy Lawless will be on the show since her character is pretty much dead.

I wonder what type of torture devices they have waiting for Baltar.
