^Though I've only seen the film once, I just thought the underwater kaiju weren't as impressive...maybe that will change on repeat viewings.

1. Gipsy Danger (I fell in love with this thing)

5. Coyote Tango
6. Doesn't really matter...we never see these jaegers enough to even remotely care. Tacit Ronin, I don't remember seeing in the film AT ALL, Romeo Blue's cameo was so fast, it was, whatever.[/quote]

I really hate how there's a teaser poster/image of Gipsy and Slattern fighting next to a bridge.... alas, Slattern never left the ocean. VERY dissapointed in the Category 5 kaiju... my only complaint about the film.

Well some of the briefly seen Jaegers looked better than Gipsy Danger, not that it took that much.

Yeah, I think Gypsy was exactly what she needed to be. Gypsy's the very basic, classic, 70s-style, audience-surrogate mecha while the ones that surround it get to be a little crazier. I'm actually really happy with that dynamic.

But I also have a raging hard-on for everything about this movie so...

only hauled in another $16M this weekend. Hopes had been that it could stay strong, but a 50% dropoff isnt good...

though it did beat RIPD (wtf, why is no site pounding that movie's face into oblivion for a miserable weekend?)
