A new host would be cool, seeing as how this has the full support of Joel. What an odd twist it would be if Joel himself became the new Mad .

that means three new mst episodes are on the way.

And I guess this solidifies the idea that the new Mad is a female and that's her silhouette.

Glad we're getting three episodes at least. I have a feeling that they won't be able to do a full season, but hopefully they'll be able to at least get a few more episodes. At any rate, at least it'll show some TV/Streaming people that there is interest and they'll have the sets and most of the props for a 1st season ready to go if they get picked up somewhere.

Although it wouldn't surprise me if either part way through or a little after it's finished, Shout Factory announces that they'll be hosting the shows on their streaming site or will help fund a whole season to be aired on some channel and streamed on Shout Factory TV as they air.

I believe I saw a rumor that the new Mad is Felicia Day, and based on that silhouette I'd say it's possible.

I'm excited. Felicia Day is fantastic and from the little snippets of the bots so far it looks like the new voice actors have nailed the personalities.

I understand, just like I understand Joel's comment about the show's cast evolving in the past, I just don't like it. Fox was wise to bring back Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny for their X-Files update, despite the fact that they could very easily have simply cast new characters (and I've always thought that X-Files was uniquely situated to feature a rotating cast). For something as momentous as the return of MST3K, either Mike or Joel (most likely Joel, as he was the originator) would be the appropriate way to go.

I'm sure Joel will cameo... as a matter of fact, I'm reasonably sure a lot of the original characters will come back, but I'd say Joel is definite.

I think it would be fun to have the bots contact Earth to see if Mike will come and rescue them, only to see that he's moved on with his life after 15 years of them cramping his style. "Jeez, I'd love you help... but -"
