Seems like some people aren't familiar with those instances when tongues meet cheeks.
Besides, thinking of Ebert as some subhuman for clearly humorous comments like that is silly since I'm pretty sure ALL of us have said things along those lines.
So its horrible and hateful every time someone says something like "People who love (insert something here- American Idol, Kardashians, whatever you want) are idiots"- We've ALL said something like that at some point or another and if you say you haven't I will automatically call you a liar.
Ebert was honest and he had opinions like the rest of us and he never played it safe with his words.
Everyone I've ever known has said something like that before. Its not fair to demonize Ebert for saying something like that. Besides, if you really take his comments like that to heart, you clearly never read enough of his material to get his sense of humor. If you think he's 100% serious when he says stuff like that, SPOILER ALERT, he isn't.
But keep fishing for reasons to smear a dead person's name, I'm sure it'll earn you a lot of karma (really, calling someone "hateful" over a movie review is a little much).
