Two Girls One Cup is real people performing real disgusting acts for money to arouse viewers with weird sexual fetishes. Its a fetish video... and as far as I know it wasn't made to be repulsive... It was made as pornography... I mean, it obviously IS repulsive, but people have some SICK fetishes and actually enjoy that.... I know, its gross.

But a movie about a mad scientist trying to build a new organism by sowing several humans together ISN'T a horror movie? That's a b-movie plot if I've ever heard one. Mad scientists, performing experiments on people who break down and come to his house on a rainy night? That's one of THE standard horror movie plots. That's been a staple of the genre since the 40s. Yeah, its a sick new twist on it, but to say you can't see how its a horror movie is absurd. Its just another version of "people break down, spend the night with a madman"- Its all from the Old Dark House, just with an original spin on it (just as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Spider Baby, Rocky Horror, House of 1000 Corpses, and so many others have done)

People made the same argument for Texas Chainsaw Massacre when that came out but these days you'd be hard pressed to find someone who DIDN'T consider that a horror film. TCM was seen as exploitative, sick violence porn when it came out (mostly by people who never watched it), but it was really just another variation on the "Old Dark House" scenerio, and is considered a classic by modern audiences. I'm not saying Human Centipede will be another TCM or even a good movie, but saying its not horror is silly since its got one of THE classic archetypal horror plots. All these films trace back to stuff like the Old Dark Houes, Spider Baby, etc.

I see where you're coming from, just not how it applies to THIS film. Those concerns apply to something like Hostel, or Serbian Film (look it up) more than this movie.

According to some reviews I've seen recently you can pretty much know just from watching the trailer if you'd want to see this movie or not. A lot of people who enjoyed it say that it was more like a dark comedy to them just because of the ridiculousness of the plot... and they praised the acting of the villain. Others who don't like it can't seem to get past the premise and just enjoy it for what it is.
