Well I think it definitely is a matter of opinion. I've read 3 rather positive reviews from film critics on it and 2 negative reviews from fans. From what I've read in their comments/reviews the film definitely has it's fair share of flaws and shortcomings and really shows it's low budget trappings and the short cuts taken. That should be expected from a low budget indie production company like this one. However; from the more in depth reviews it already sounds like a marginal improvement over their previous releases and full of crazy b-movie cheese. It definitely seems to show that they are listening and trying to get it right and give us what we[the fans] want on a strict budget and production timeline. Basically; it sounds that the film will have very split reactions. Some will love it and praise their efforts while others won't feel that they were enough. I'm willing to give it a go and from my regular communication with them on this particular project I can definitely say that yes they do care, are trying and listening, and do want to give us what we want.

Yeah I may be kicking myself later but I still plan on getting it. I tend to like a lot of films that many don't. "Outlander" I did catch in theaters and can't recommend enough. I thought it was excellent! I just purchased a copy dirt cheap too! I also just ordered the remake of "Attack Of The Giant Leeches" which I still think could be fun although I might be kicking myself later on that one too. :D
