Well, it's a remake of a Spanish film from last year called [Rec] that's been pretty widely praised. Unfortunately, like many Hollywood remakes of foreign or indie films, it becomes nearly impossible to see the original until the remake is released. This and another, "Paranormal Activity" (to be remade by Dreamworks), are high on my list, but nearly impossible to see right now.

Wait isn't there some sort of movie being produced by Antonio Banderas about zombies or something?

(looked at a trailer for the Spanish version of [REC], the acting was a little bit more believable.)

Didn't mean to shift gears in the thread here, but to me someone who doesn't know of [REC], the hand camera stuff has been spent with me after cloverfield.

For some reason seeing the ad for [REC] made me think of haunted hay rides...

I *think* [rec] is about zombies. I've tried to stay somewhat spoiler free. There's definitely some sort of bizarre cannibalistic thing going on outside the house they're stuck in, but I got the impression (and it's been months, so I'm not sure) that there's more to it than that.
