Saw this back in December in Japan. I enjoyed it. If was definitely a *HUGE* step above
QOS, that's for damn sure. Unlike many who have critiqued the so called "Home Alone" climax, I thought it was one of better, more unique, and suspenseful action pieces seen in a Bond film in quite some time. And Craig's take on Bond in this film seemed much more "sauve" and less raw/brutish...he's really starting to comfortable in this role. And the final sequence in the "new" M office was a great nod/throwback. Overall, a very enjoyable Bond outing.:th-up:
One thing that is *REALLY* bugging me though with both
Skyfall and all of the Craig/reboot films...enough of the screwing around with the traditional Bond "Barrel Gun Opener". I thought the end of
QOS made it clear that it was high time to start seeing the traditional Gun Barrel Sequence that has been missing since
DAD. But nope, they do the *EXACT* same thing as
QOS by being cute/artsy and putting it at the end of the film instead, and it was completely unnecessary for
Skyfall.

We get it that this is a new era of Bond after 3 films already...put the g*d damn Gun Barrel Sequence back at the beginning of the film please...
