Hopefully this means that they have realized that having numerous villians in their script ruined the story and that they would stick to one villain.

If they're going to do the sinister six as the six film then we'd get a variant of the sinster 12 because of Lizard; so probably Lizard, Rhino, Vulture, Doc Ock, Venom and Scropion with Normon/Green Goblin the master mind behind it.

This would tie in with the whole cross species genetics theme of the series the only exception being Venom.

People keep asking why it exists, and honestly I think we needed a reboot. Not this reboot, clearly, but I never felt the Raimi films (as fun as the first two were) portrayed Spider-man as I remembered him. I'd love a sinister six film, but...yeah.

Also, how was Raimi going to ever get a sinister six? He kept killing EVERY villain he had. Which is one thing I genuinely liked about Amazing Spider-Man.

I'd rather it be a new reboot, with a glossed over origin. I guess I'll wait for the next inevitable reboot. Maybe they'll get it right that time.

It sounds more like, "We wanted another Spider-Man 3, which you did not give us, so you're cut."

Such a shame since the first one put Raimi's movies to shame.
