Calling it now: In the manner of the previous GINO, this is going to end up being "GhostBridesmaids". The trappings of the story will come secondary to the unfunny antics of the cast. It will be quickly forgotten or simply, if remembered, with scorn. (Sorry, never got the Feig hype anyway.) On a final note, curse you Bill Murray, for dragging your feet on a reappearance and subjecting us to this abortion of an idea, instead.

Blah, blah, blah

I hope they keep the familiar elements of the proton packs, wands, and traps. Because fun.

^I thought GBII actually was more plot driven because it's has to be: it's just not as funny! Murray seems invested in the romantic scenes with Weaver and disinterested in comedy, Akyroyd and Ramis don't have too many funny scenes... Luckily, both Rick Moranis and Peter MacNicol are hilarious in it.

Akroyd decides to toy with our hearts some more. Thinks there could still be a Ghostbusters 3 in addition to the reboot...

This is just foolishness.

Make one Ghostbusters movie and take it from there.

I can alreadysee their plan.

The male Gostbusters and the female Ghostbusters will be two seperate personalities in the first two films. Then in the third they'll crossover and team up to stop some giant monster ghost and it'll be SOOOOOOO corny...but I'll probably like it.

Sony really seems to want a multi-film cinematic universe with multiple casts that they can bring together in big event pictures. They tried to do it with Spider-Man but that didn't pan out. Now it seems like they're shifting all of that focus onto the Ghostbusters franchise.

I hope they bring back The Real Ghostbusters cartoon.
I loved that show when I was a kid.

There's rumors that the Channing Tatum GB movie is a crossover with 21 Jump Street. There were emails about making 23 Jump Street a crossover film with Men In Black, they wanted to do something drastically different for a 3rd film (since most sequel ideas were taken by the the fake sequels at the end of part 2). So it's being speculated that they swapped out MiB with Ghostbuster since it's getting all this (positive and negative) press lately.

Regardless if it is or not, if it's following the same world as the Girl Ghostbusters (which I'd assume it would be) I'm still not interested. Feig has said too many things I don't like about this remake (scarier, better tech, secret government agency etc etc).

Sony is just squeezing the life blood out of another property as quick as possible before people realize how terrible it is. And the fact that they got that exec from Fox who made Galactus a cloud, I have no hope that anything Sony Pictures will be making any time soon will be nothing but pure ass.

The suits.

In suit but not fully decked out.

The pack

I'm not too keen on the black shin/knee guards, but the overall look of the jump suit is good.

The pack is too small for tastes. And while I'm glad it's not the iProtonpack like I was fearing but it looks to be only a few cogs and some copper coloring away from being a decent fan made steampunk pack. A lot of issues could be resolved when seeing it in action, and while not as bad as it could be, this pack design is not what I wanted.
