I liked the whole 'nuke the fridge' bit of Indy4. I thought the movie was really interesting for the first 20 minutes when it was old Indy with Cold War and nuclear paranoia (the '50s!). When it became a generic clone of past Indy films that was the mistake. I think there should have been aliens (all sorts of aliens! Metaluna Mutant-types!), sci-fi technology (lasers! teleports! spaceships!), and Indy on the run from the government under suspicion of being a spy. if you're going to do something, commit to it!
