Marylin was the only recognizable character! I think Mockingbird Lane also had a significant shift in tone away from The Munsters.
Going by the new show's description, "...members of an offbeat family who are determined to stay true to themselves but struggle to fit in in hipster Brooklyn..." has me wondering if the people making the new show understand the Munsters. The Munsters never "struggled to stay true to themselves" because they were the normal ones it was everybody else that were the weird ones. The shift to Brooklyn means were going to lose staples like the Munster Koach, Grandpa's basement/dungeon/lab, and probably Spot and his under the staircase lair.
