Not surprising after they did the same with Thor and Captain America. I'll still be seeing it in 2D so I don't care.

A bit off topic, but ties in directly to the "Marvel is cheap" discussion.... and its hilarious. Apparently, customs considers "dolls" to be toys of humans and "toys" to be non-humans. And apparently when importing toys made in other countries (ie all Marvel figures) into our country, dolls have a higher import cost than toys.

Now Marvel is trying to reduce shipping costs by arguing that mutants are not humans and therefore, their toys are not "dolls." Jesus, this company is out of control.

And doesn't saying that mutants aren't humans totally forgo the whole point of X-Men's message of tolerance?

Yeah, Loki is the villain, and word on the street is there is a Skrull invasion.

But going back to the trailer, its great to finally see the Hulk with the other heroes.

You see, that's where I think your totally wrong. Jon Chu comes from a background of dance films like Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D, films that require extensive and intricate dance choreography. My favorite fight scenes in cinematic history are just glorified dances (i.e. Drunken Master 2). That's why I'm so excited.

Joss Whedon, however, couldn't direct (or more importantly, write) his way out of a paper bag. I'm sure 95% of the film will take place in the small confines of SHIELD headquarters, as our heroes make snarky remarks about each other's costumes. MekaGojira3k hit the nail on the head with the Destroy All Monsters comparison, but at this point I don't even care about the characters. Robert Downey Jr. has worn out his welcome, Chris Evans will be playing the annoying fish out of water character, and who gives a "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" about Hawkeye?

And for the record, while I have no idea how good BATTLESHIP will be, it at least looks new and refreshing. How many fun naval warfare films are there? How many films have New York being invaded by a bunch of identical aliens? See my point.

I'm not going to make any assumptions about this movie until I see it. If it sucks, then oh well. I've wasted all of eight bucks on a ticket. I liked all the Marvel movies related to this one, and having them all together sounds pretty entertaining.

Potentially spoilery speculation on what the aliens might be.
