I'm pretty sure Series 8 doesn't start until late summer.

Just got done with the special pretty good stuff; one of the better Christmas specials to date.

I liked it. Not as good as the anniversary special, but strong.

It was a bit rough at first, but we've managed to pull through with a splendid 50th anniversary year. Here's to the next fifty! I look forward to the hundredth anniversary episode when I'm 75.

I rather liked it, neat regeneration, and I hope they go with this Doctor who hasn't any real clue what he's doing. It sounds like fun.
I can't wait for more 12.

SO I have a question. Does anyone own the Tenth Planet DVD? If so, how is the animation for the fourth episode? Is it as confusing and hard to follow as it is on the Cybermen Second Doctor animated stuff?

Secondly, the bonus features say it contains a VHS restoration of the episode, what does that mean exactly?

Capaldi looks better in Matt's last costume than Matt did!

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Here's the first official photo of Peter Capaldi in his Twelfth Doctor costume. I like it. It's a little prim, a little flamboyant, and it suits him.

OMG. Season 5 (not finished yet..but)
TOMB OF THE CYBERMEN
THE ICE WARRIORS
ENEMY OF THE WORLD
Why did no one tell me how amazing Patrick Troughton is.
2nd Doctor is easily my favorite classic Doctor (only seen two in any thorough capacity)
but he's quickly rising up to replace Tennant as my favorite Doctor overall.

Neat. I wonder who will be back?

Also, I finished Season 5 of the classic Who stuff. Troughton is amazing, and the show seems to be getting better with each season.

With Capaldi, I wouldn't actually mind seeing the Master again, especially if they make the dynamic more like Pertwee/Delgado.

I hate to say it, but I was not a big fan of this episode. It wasn't bad or anything, but it felt like it was dragging on for over an hour as everything moved at such a slow pace. I cannot even say if i like the new guy or not as I couldn't even understand half of what he was saying as it sounded like he was just mumbling. I still do not care for Clara, but I did like how they had her written like the younger audience complaining about an old Doctor. The ending was intriguing though. I wonder if the robot is dead or if something will come of that random lady at the end.

I didn't mind the slower pace in this episode. Though one thing I was surprised about was how much I could hear the Fourth Doctor in Capaldi's line delivery, especially in the restaurant scene.
