Looks like Johnson has been cast as Quicksilver. Avengers 2 is a bit of a Godzilla reunion.

Yeah I can't think of any other two films, not by the same director, in recent memory that's featured the same two leads. What's gonna be weird, is that in Godzilla they're husband and wife, and in Avengers 2 they're brother and sister. That's got to be a bit awkward.

Also, I wonder if Joss has seen Godzilla or something. At least parts of the film?

The Dark Knight Rises, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Lawless all came out within a year from each other and all starred Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy. It was weird.

There's no doubt that Age Of Ultron will be a good film, but to be honest, i'm not feeling Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch too much. And even though Kevin Feige confirmed that his character is in movie development, I still think they should've somehow included Black Panther. Ah well. Maybe Avengers 3.

Yeah, I'm especially worried because they're adding so many completely new players to the mix.
I'm also not fond of Ultron's origin being altered, if it is.

I will say this (and wouldn't it then make it ironic if Avengers 2 was not so good):

It FEELS LIKE the tie-in movies this time around will be a little better. I know Iron Man 3 was easily the best non-Avengers-yet-still-100-percent-consciously-set-in-the-Avengers-film-universe film.

So, wouldn't it be funny if Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America, the main "Avengers set-up movies" were just okay, then Avengers was really good and then on the flip-side Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Cap 2, and Guardians were all really good and then Avengers 2 was not?

And I guess it helps that we'll get more Hulk in Avengers 2.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Hulk movie made. But we've gotten two already, (if you wanna include the Eric Bana Hulk) and there are other Marvel movies I would like to see made first. (one being that Black Panther movie)
