Now this could be very telling -- it instantly brings to mind E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Where in Spielbergville, all aliens are benevolent and just want to help mankind.

The comment about Spielberg's early movies is a mite disappointting to me as well.

I've been hoping that the movie would be more like classic 50s sci-fi movies with a strange alien monster on the loose.

Here's hoping the Spielberg comment is really just to throw us off track, and instead Abram's will deliver a movie that's more of a tribute to the work of George Pal instead.

Guys, "Early work of Steven Spielberg" doesn't immediatley translate into "friendly aliens." For all we know, could be referring to Jaws or Duel, which are creature/killer on the loose films.

The creature in the trailer seemed pretty upset when he broke out of that container.
