I guess the same suits at Sony/Columbia that approved this are the same knuckle-heads who are letting Seth Rogen not just write The Green Hornet, but are letting him play the role of Britt Reid/the Green Hornet.

The Fast and the Furious idiot is remaking the Monster Squad.

I swear, does Hollywood break into my house and look at my DVD collection when I'm sleeping? Do they have some kind of agenda to remake all the films I hold dear? This REALLY has to stop.

As someone said earlier, we need a new wave of amazing film makers... we need another renaissance like there was in the 60s and 70s: Scorsese, Spielberg, Coppola, Romero, Carpenter, Lynch, Cronenberg, Gilliam, Ridley Scott, Lucas (when he was sane). Where are the new versions of these guys? Aside from Guillermo del Toro, Peter Jackson, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Chris Nolan, just about everybody sucks right now.

Exclusive: Kitamura Revisits Versus for America!

We're getting our own Versus!In the year 2000, a Japanese zombie action epic called Versus exploded onto the scene thereby putting director Ryuhei Kitamura on the map of just about every horror fan who knows their stuff. Now he's ready to give us Westerners a Versus of our very own!

Butane called in from Fantasia with this report:

Kitamura just announced that he's working on an American version of Versus. He just finished a draft of the script and will do one more to poloish it up. It's going to be a few years before it's made, as he's doing an action film first but he stated, and I quote; "The US Versus will be insane!"
