Well this: "Imagine if HP Lovecraft had to write a horror/comedy that deconstructs the entire modern horror genre" got me interested, but I'll probably wait to rent it.

Lol. Glad you liked it so much man. After sleeping on it I really liked it a lot more than I did last night. Great movie. There are so many easter eggs in this film that I'm going to have to watch it again many times.

Did you notice on the board that lists all the different monsters that one of them is simply titled "Kevin" lol. I lost it and now I want to know what a Kevin is?? lol.

The monster that starts with a C that you mentioned was awesome...probably the best representation of a character like that since the original, or maybe the second Clive Barker film.

Let's see what else....tons of easter eggs seriously. They even have a King Kong like character in the film. (What happened in Sweden though...made me think of The Thing). The Japanese version of the "cabin" was SO on the money lol.

I was still annoyed by the stoner character. That's really my only complaint.

Everyone needs to see this film! Box office for original horror movies haven't been great the past few years...hopefully this one breaks the trend and will show studios that we DO want good horror films again.

This is the first movie in a long, LONG time to actually intrigue me from its previews. I get the feeling they show off too much though...should have marketed themselves as more of a straight horror film and let the surprise be surprising

i havent seen it yet, i might wait for a cheap theater...

Yeah. Even The Three Stooges (which I hear is awesome) had a very luckluster opening at #2.
